Our Founder
Dr Kath Hall is an internationally recognised governance expert, non-executive director, and advocate for young women’s leadership. An award-winning educator and mentor, she combines expertise in law, psychology, and systems change to reimagine how power can be shared in governance and society.

Prior to running governance programs, Kath was a highly regarded corporate law academic - working with international organisations including the OECD, United Nations , International Bar Association, Harvard’s Safra Center for Ethics, and the International Standards Organisation.
Today, Kath brings that deep expertise to the front lines of social change — leading national governance programs with Women on Boards, and serving as a Non-Executive Director with the Women’s Justice Network, supporting women with lived experience of the criminal justice system.
In founding Just Governance, Kath is committed to opening the doors of decision-making in community, Not For Profit and social enterprises to young women, gender-diverse leaders, and people with lived experience of the issues they address. She knows that when boards reflect the diversity of the communities they serve, they make better decisions, build stronger partnerships, and create fairer futures.
Through Just Governance, Kath is building accessible, future-focused training pathways, and supporting for-purpose boards across Australia, to nurture young leaders, and expand whose voices are heard around the board table.
